My Excursion needs some more pep

Hey All,

My new to me Excursion needs a little more get up and go. The truck is a 2000 7.3 4X4 that is all stock for now. I am going to do some Isspro gauges and a new 4" exhaust, DIY intake or Tymar and some type of chip. I am not new to diesels but new to the Ford Power Stroke.

Is there a difference between the Excursion and Super Duty chips or tunes? I am not looking for something extreme at all but when I hit a hill I know it pretty quickly. I do not tow to often but when I do probably less then 5K. So I think a stock, tow, economy and mild tune would be good.

Will the tune help with the tranny also? It seems my truck shifts great through all gears until it gets to drive. When it gets to drive it feels like it shifts there to early.

I am interested in the 3 gauge mount for above the rear view mirror. Does anyone have any pics of one installed?

I appreciate any input or advice you all could provide me on where to get and what to get.

Tunes are the same Ex or pickup. Shifts will be better with Custom tunes.

We have everything your asking about..can make you a nice package with TW tunes, Isspro guages with the over the mirror pod, Tymar intake and a MBRP exhaust system.

Then if your Ex is a 4x4 we have everything needed to fix the handling and ride quality.

Ill tell you what ive had the AFE Stage 2 intake and a 4in ATS turbo back exhaust on for 3 years now and i just finnally got a tuner on my truck and it woke that 7.3 up like no tomarrow. no more lagging on the freeway and no more flooring it just to get on the freeway. It sure does have a good amount of power now.
