confused about stacking

Ok so I got into a discussion with a guy. It was about stacking a chip with a programmer. I say you can not do this with the trucks that have 7.3L he says we can. Now I am confused. He says he is running the bully dog and sct programmer in his 7.3L. Is this possible.

That is what I mean he has the bully dog chip like the ts-6 and he is running the sct programmer. I always thought the chip would cancel out the programmer.

u can get a sct and put it on ur truck but just set the chip on watever u want to be the sct tune. cuz from wat ive heard itll erase that spot on the chip and put it as the watever prgram the programmer puts on there. and ive heard that sct isnt good as the ts anyways

k here is the deal with stacking.... i stack the edge evo programmer with their juice chip.... now it can be done but i don't recommend it anymore because it makes none to very little dif. in hp gains.... this has been proven in my case cause when i got my truck dyno'd i tried it out.... my first run was with my edge evo set to lvl 3 (all the way up) so that i can get a base hp number.... my second and third run was with both the juice and evo all the way up and it only produced a few hp more and only like 15 Lbs. of torque more..... so you can do it but its not worth it in my opinion cause the HP diff. is not that great
