Dry Filter vs Reusable Filter

Just bought my first diesel. It has an existing AEM 'Brute Force' intake pipe with a Spectre reusable filter that is BEAT UP, and is the dirtiest filter I have ever seen......so in the market for a new filter. Looked at AEM website for a new filter, and they sell a dry filter. Anyone use one of these dry filters? What kind of life expectancy do you get? Performance of dry vs. reusable?

AMSOIL Ea Air Induction Filters (EaAU)

I use the AmsOil dry reusable filter, and it works great, just blow/vacuum the filter off and stuff it back in the truck. 50 bucks. lasts forever.
