SES light cuttin my Boost
Whenever I run my boost guage up 26-28psi my SES light comes on and it cuts it down to 20-22psi, and it will stay like that until the light goes off. I do have a boost fooler and it is allowing me to exceed the 22-24psi factory limit so I asume that the fooler isnt the problem. I have screwed the eyelet on wastegate in 6 turns.... I know that 30psi is about the limits of the stock turbo, so how do I fix this problem and get it to maintain 28-29psi

Pull the codes. Im betting its not boost related
Its probably a P1211 you are running out of high pressure oil |

try resetting the boost fooler lower, around 20psi and see what happens, your gauge could be inaccurate, or the factory map sensor could be a little off.
If your ICP was low due to the hpop, boost won't drop right away it will decline slowly and the truck won't pull as hard. the fact that it wont run higher boost untill the light is gone is a tell tale sign over an overboost code, not a p1211 (low hpop pressure) |

get a ae or a mechanic and data log your icp and dc.

don't waste your time with datalogging icp or dc, hpop codes don't cut power untill the light is gone, the hpop and ipr are still trying to make the volume and pressure that the tunes are calling for! |

Boost fooler reset (good thing I marked its stock position lol) and im getting the same result. Am I wrong to think that the boost fooler is working because it allows more than the factory boost setting(initially before the ses light appears)? And does having my wastegate acctuating rod turned in affect anything?

I should add that I had already tried setting the boost fooler to a lower setting and then I posted my original post, sorry for the lack of info guys

why dont you remove the boost fooler and try it. see if it lets you get over 24psi. thatll eliminate the fooler pretty quick

I removed the boost fooler and the max psi i got was 22

the ONLY way to find out why that ses comes on is to scan it with a decent scanner. |
