MBRP exhaust question

I ordered a MBRP turbo back exhaust (S6200P) today and was wondering is it set up for people without cats too? My truck never had a cat, and I've heard of a lot of people buying a pipe to do the cat delete, but what if my truck never had a cat? Would the new exhaust go 4" turbo to cat - 3.5" cat pipe (using stock pipe on the truck now) - 4" out the rear?

Cool. Just wasn't sure. But then again, half the states don't have emission laws, so they would have to make it work both ways.

Another quick question. I've heard of some guys putting the muffler on backwards to get more of a free flow thru?

The muffler should give you good flow either way it's installed. You can look right through the thing. There are openings in the tube going through the muffler. I don't know to describe it other than to say they tilt one way. If you put the opening tilted toward the truck, it supposedly is quieter because the sound goes into the holes. If they are pointed toward the exhaust tip, it is a little louder. Mine is toward the tip and the sound isn't THAT loud. I like it. I hope I described it right - You'll see when you get your kit.

Mine is turned backwards and I dont think it makes much of a difference. I dont know bout the MBRP but the hangers on my muffler were made to go on in one direction so the ppl that put it on had to weld another hanger on and it kinda looks like crap under there from the welds rusting. Im gonna be gettin a straight pipe for in eventually.

How much louder does it get with a straight pipe? Obviously the muffler already is a straight thru design.
