AFE Intake Manifolds???

I saw this on there website and i searched on here but i couldnt find anything so i figured i would ask, is this a good mod? anyone have these?

Have one on my truck, but it was there when I bought it so I have no way to compare.I think the guy I bought it from knew what he was doing---DDP injectors,AFE intake, Garrett turbo,Banks intercooler and an SCT tuner. Works well with all the other stuff----'01 Super duty 2w short bed.

ehhh, not THAT big of a deal. Unless you're running a big turbo, big injectors, wanting a boost fitting spot, injection water/meth, nos, and so on. For a plain ole truck, not really a point in it.

so until i upgrade my turbo no real need for them?

You might get a little big lower EGTs just cause you can flow more air. But stock you can only flow so much. Is it a hurtful, bad mod? No. Is it necessary? No. Does it set you up for more expansion later and can help a little now? Yes.

Exactly. Only problem . . . there's NEVER extra cash to spend Filter this, filter that, cooler here, flush here, etc . . .

o trust me i here you there, especially going to school full time and working part time...one good thing is i do all the work on my truck and have a full shop at my disposal and parts really cheap.
