whats the best chip for gas mileage on the 7.3?

No one can claim to have the best way to many variables. IMO get a TS chip with custom tunes from TW, Cale, Bill, Bean..many good tuners available. We sell TW and Cales tunes if interested please PM.

Search around a bit, you'll find what's right for you. If you're planning on modding the truck out some more (intake, exhaust, etc) then go with a custom tuned chip. If you aren't planning on doing anything at all---just keeping it stock but want better mileage, then I'd recommend going with the Superchip setup. Just my opinion though.

My 99 gets 19 -20 @ 65-70 on the highway and 15-16 in town with my 1705 Superchips micro tuner...this is on the performance setting which states 4000 lb allowable towing, the tow safe setting was about the same on the highway and a bit less in town as it let the engine rev up a bit more prior to shifting.

I am selling my 1705 for more than 50% off the price I paid (I have origninal box , cable tuner and sales reciept.) as I am going to mod my truck out and go with a tunable 6 way chip.

1705's will work on 99-03's
