advise/opinion

ok i have been trying to figure this out for days now... i'm looking at adding my dp-tuner but i want gauges when i do... what i'm looking for is tranny temp, egt/pyro, boost.

the problem... i'm trying to find a good price for the set up and i'm trying to figure out exactly what i need... i have 99 f250 7.3l.. im trying to figure out if anyone knows if there is a unit that i can read all of this off of digitally or if i have to go gauges.. all the units ive found just plug into the obd2 port. and is my understanding that i cant hook into that for these 3 readings..

what are you guys running and what options do i have? any ideas?

Howdy! There is a gauge out there that does 3 in one or something like that...sorry I don't have a link or anything, but I can tell you from my experience I would go with real gauges...I love my gauges and it's a lot easier to read them than on a screen or a 3 in one. My advice would be to hold off and get gauges before anything else...pyro and tranny are #1 priority, boost after that and I have a diff as my fourth, when I'm aloud to spend again (kid on the way wife cut me off) I am going to do oil temp water temp and fuel pressure, outside the cab on some custom brackets I welded up, to go in front of the windshield wiper drivers side, my buddy has a set like that on his turboed 5.0 and they are easy to see.

I have bought from Dieselmanor great service and I get a discount, but real fast shipping...Not trying to step on toes Raul...I have bought from both just different kits on each. I got my pillar pod pre-painted as well...I don't have the patients to do paint myself.

well i talked to jodi from dp tuner and after doing so ive decided on actual gauges.. they seem to me to be a better option for both site and durability. i'm possibly looking into auto meter.. i have an autometer water temp on my k% blazer and it works like a champ so i'm gonna stick with them...

and as for holding off lol... to hell with that.. i'm ordering the gauges, pillar, and tuner all today lol... woot!

now... to save for the tranny hahaha
