wastegate actuator

how do you know if your diafram is going bad or not... i know i'm getting compressor stall/ surging... that much i have narrowed down and i'm fixing that soon with a wicked wheel. but i'm thinking of upgrading the actuator aswell and just wondering if i need to... any ideas on what to look for?

When you have it off to put w-w in put a little air pressure on it & see if it moves. I did mine with a hand pump.

The press I don't know. If I remember correctly you adjust the rod til it lines up with the wastegate closed & then shorten the rod 6 turns clockwise ( shorter ). Then I just put a little air press on it to hook it up.

spec is .0039" with 5.5 to 6.5psi

if you want the upgraded actuator i believe its a 452603-0015
it looks exactly like stock but has a stiffer spring.
