Water/Meth Injection vs 6.0 Intercooler Swap. Which one will give me the best bang for the buck and time? Why? Which system?

from what i've read the 6.0 intercooler swap only gives like 50 to 100 degrees if any difference at all. Shootin water into my engine never sounded good to me though either... Are you towing heavy loads and having egt problems? Maybe try a GTP38R, supposed to drop egt by up to 200

I have heard mixed results on the 6.0 IC some say they notice a difference and some say they notice nothing to brag about

I installed a 6.0 IC on my truck and see NO change in EGTs running empty. Pulling my 12k 5er I see maybe 50 degrees less at the peak. I bought the IC for $50 on craigs so I dont feel like it was a waste. The boots to make it fit were about $100 but I was going to replace the stock boots anyway.
Water injection is proven to work and it works well. |
