Anyone out there like to save a buck and make there own mod's? I just finished my prototype converter lock and warmup valve used as exhaust brake. It turned out better than I thought and I have alot of big pipe dreams. Bill

The truck just came in and my son is estatic. I set up the ebpv to work as an exhaust brake and I setup the torque converter lock to work with the exhaust brake via a throttle micro switch and the t/c lock to release when the brakes are applied. My son showed me how he liked to use it. Start with the switch off, ease the throttle and flip the switch down and lock the con erter. The truck drives like a manuel trans. While driving, like in a hill, flip the switch up. Now the t/c is still locked and the ebpv is armed via a throttle micro switch. You start down grade and let off the throttle and the ebpv come on and wella. you now have an exhaust brake. I don't know how this compares in stopping power to the big boys but its a ton cheaper. I have about $50.00 in the whole thing. Bill

homade exaust
well guys i looked around and saw that stack kits were way to expensive( more cheep looking and overpriced). so i took it uppon myself to make my own. i installed a set in my buddies 2500 dodge ands just orderes the stacks for mine on ebay, payed about a 100 bucks, 5 inch chrome, used a peice of 2x 6 tube in the bed, and a peice of heavy duty flex like on a big rig from the 4 inch down pipe to the elbo into the 2x6. took a few hours to do but it looks great and sound even better. i should have the parts to do mine this weekend and will try to post picks

Your a man after my own heart. I build everything I can and some things I should have given up on. On my big trucks from the factory they use a wye pipe at the back of the cab. On some of the older trucks I do things the driver likes. The sound of the design you made is awesome. If you have the engine jacked up the smoke sceen is cool in traffic!!!

Hey, thats an easy request. More fuel, more heat, more boost. Or you can change turbos. I couldn't find a intake system to my liking so I designed my own. Its a very old trick call "RAM AIR". If your engine doesn't half to suck to get air, it will run free and cooler exhaust temps. I can hardly wait to get my wicked wheel on the turbo and by the way this wheel upgrade on the compressor side I here is awesome.
