Thumbs down ATS intercooler

Interested in changing my intercooler out to any ATS model. Anyone out there changed to this intercooler? Did they like it? Any improvement?

Also, live in Columbia,SC. Interested in where can I go to have this upgrade installed. Anyone recommend a Diesel Preformance Shop.

Is the ATS not worth the money, or any intercooler period?

unless you are making an insane amount of power i doubt an intercooler is going to do much, the factory ones pretty good honestly..

An intercooler does make a pretty decent difference but is it worth a 1000 prolly not. But if you tow a lot and you want to keep EGTs as low as possible then it is worth it.

I have a banks one and it lowered EGTs by like 150 or so at WOT so I think thats a good thing.

I would spend the money elsewhere. I put in a 6.0 cooler and I think I only dropped maybe 50 deg peak towing my 12k 5er. I got it for $50 so no big deal. If I paid 1k for it I would be pissed! running empty I saw no change. You would be better off buying a water kit for cheaper and they are proven to work and work well!

But once you do all that there is still power on the table with a better intercooler. There is really no point in not getting it. You will appreciate it, might not feel like 1k worth of go fast goodies but lower EGTs are good for everything.
