Where to get new 4r100 tranny

Hello all
i have my 99 f250 and the tranny is getting weak and is starting to affect my performance. it has 198000 miles on it 70k from me and i know i wasnt nice to it so is deff time for a new one.

I was told about a place around the san diego area that is said to be the best in tranny work but i cant remember the name of the place..

I will be doing the tranny the torque converter and a dp tunner all at once myself just need the tranny. I already have exhaust and intake might do turbo too not sure yet lol...

anyway i live cali and will be home only for 2 weeks until nxt june and would like to do this within the one week i will be home in oct. any ideas on where to get it?

From what I've been told, you can't buy a "new" 4r100. It'll have to be rebuilt. If that's what you meant, then BTS rebuilds the best 4r100 hands down.

yeah i guess since you live in cali i would go with a john wood tranny. might want to do some readin on tuners before you buy and might want to get some gauges. btw are you deployed?

ive been looking into tuners for a bit over a year now... i have settled on the dp tuner because of my visual research... i have a buddy with a 7.3 with banks. and a buddy with 7.3 with bully dog (think thats what it is) and someone that has a 7.3 with the dp tunner.. and out of them all i was really impressed with the dp tunner. the price, the customer service, and the product results as a whole.... do you know where jon wood tranny is located?

me too man, bout to come home in a few weeks though, john wood is located in holtville, ca (760)-356-9421. i have ran a dp tuner and it was pretty good much better than edge, banks, ect but i have since moved on to beans tunes. you might want to give them a holler

I would do the JW trans one of the best 4r100 builders. John works with Jody and his tuning so they are a perfact match.
