TS Performance 6 position chip question

I have a TS Performance 6 position chip on my early 99 auto F250 7.3 and I was thinkin bout sellin that to one of my buddys who has a early 99 7.3 but his is manual instead of auto. I'm wantin to sell it to him cause I want to get one of the PHP Gryphon CTS chips cause it has the built in gauges and I don't have any gauges now. I know when you buy the chip it has different part numbers for auto or manual transmissions. My question is would it work anyway or what would happen if we put it in his truck? If the chip won't work can it be reburned to work in his truck and who would be able to do that?

Thanks,

Matt

If neither are CA-emissions trucks, your E99 automatic chip will work just fine in his E99 manual truck. He will just get a check engine light and a whole boatload of transmission codes.
