I FINALLY GOT A TUNER
so for the longest time I've been wanting and wishing for a tuner.....well I know it's not what everyone prefers but I was on CL the other day and found it....
superchips 1705 for 99-03 7.3's with 60 HP ( TOW SAFE ) 90 HP ( TOW PERF ) AND 110( HIGH PERF ) . the guy wanted 150 I talked him down to 120....I love this thing so much. I am already running all my guages and everything and nothing seems to be running abnormal. my egt's still run right at 500* WOT and trans runs 150* WOT but for 120 bucks I couldn't pass it up...nothing really important here I just really wanted to brag LOL

I was really saving up SUPER SLOWLY for a DP but since I have 8 months to go on my truck payments it wasn't going to happen....I couldn't swing 4-500 for a good tuner..I just lucked out on this one for 120.00

you should be happy with it until u can get u some custom tunes, then u will really be stoked.

yeah I'm good for now....the only thing my truck is missing now is the interior swap, that's about it, other than that I'm great...I'm getting ready to get an 06 dash bezel to swap into my truck now too so it will look really sweet with the black and tan interior I'm putting in it.

so here's a dumb ? though....which setting would be the best for my trip next week? I'm pulling a 64 falcon future on a uhaul trailer...
should I set it on 60 hp tow safe or 90 hp tow performance to get me where Im going? Im taking the tuner with me in the truck if I need to reboot it, but what would you guys suggest?

i would say the tow setting
 . higher hp tunes can run high egts and if u have somethin hooked to your truck the tow tune will help keep ur egts down.

yeah I wasn't sure which tow setting though, there's 2 of them
60 hp-tow safe( used for 6k lbs and over ) 90 hp-tow performance( used for 6k lbs and under ) the other which I know I'll NEVER use with a trailer is 110 hp-high performance just wasn't sure which tow setting I could use...

I would say either tow setting would be fine.
