i dont know exactly what bolt your talking about exactly i havent put a chip in yet. But if possible i woud go to the store and buy an easy-out. All you have to do is drill a small hole in the bolt and then use the easy out, it will fit in the hole and grab the bolt to help remove it. good luck

Yeah I can get the bolt on the pcm side but the one I cant get out is the bolt head side that goes through the wiring harness through the firewall. Thanks though

im sure it could get worse...
the bolt doesnt actually come out.. it just loosens to a point where you can pull the ecu out from the inside. |

try having 3/4" of a bolt stuck inside your block from using the hardware from a cheap water pump kit.
3 hrs later, a right angle drill and and an easyout... boy got skills. |

Yeah I know it could be much worse but seeing as how I am supposed to be leaving for out of town this afternoon, it just came at a bad time. Anywho it broke halfway between harness and pcm. Half the bolt is in each one. After some searching I found a thread on a f150 forum where dude says its a clip holding bolt in. If I can't get it today ill just wedge the harness to pcm and see if it will drive.
