Torque Converter recommendations

What do you guys recommend for a TC upgrade. It looks like its a good mod before you get too crazy with the HP. Will a different TC bulletproof the tranny, or does it just pass the weak link along to something else ?

Putting a new converter like a Suncoast, or PI or John Woods, is kinda like adding a chip, it will kill the weak links in your tranny.

However, if you tranny is currently healthy, you can slap a good converter on it, and an upgraded valve body and some pump mods and you should be good to go for some more ponies.

I'm running a Trans-Go E4OD shift kit along with a Sonnax .427 regulator and accumulator valves, with a Dacco multi disk 95k converter. It works well, the shifts are firm, but not harsh and no more slip sliding away into converter lockup, it just feels like another shift.
