AEM claims in the instructions that the kit using 2 of the 550ml/min nozzles will be sufficient for a diesel engine producing 450hp. they also have a chart for gas engines, so not completely in the dark with the diesel info.
Pulled the nozzles and they are spraying, even had the system spray at an idle after I ran the truck hard to see if it would help decrease the EGTs faster, but no luck. all I was able to get was a slight black haze out of the exhaust.
System turns on at 7psi and goes 100% at 15psi. the kit came with a progressive controller so it gradually increases the flow. I am thinking about just having it go 100% at 8psi and skip the gradual increase.
To the guys reading this that have a methanol kit installed what flow rate are you pushing and what PSI does it come on at?
