i'd say more in the 4's... I'm about to get 250ish CC's single shots or bigger (havent fully decidied yet) with a 38R. Harmonic balencer, valve springs, pushrods, big oil, fuel, main girdle and tuned with SCT. The guy doin my work said he can put me at a safe 450 Plus. especially givin that i have forged rods. Plus look around on the forum there's lots of guys with 238 hybrids and a 38r's pushin over 4's. oh and if you havent already, better get that tranny up to par...

I strongly suggest you go else where if this guy is offering to put a main girdle on your motor without pulling it apart and line boring the mains, because that is the right way to do it.

yeah i honestly aint sure of the proper way to do it, so thanx for the info. I understand what your sayin. i'm gonna have a sit down with the guy doin the work and talk to him about it. i'm a mechanic in the Navy so i'll be able to tell if this guy is full of S*** or not. Kinda feel quilty about payin somebody to do all this. But sure will save me time, and i figure what the hell.. i got the money so why not. Deployment is a wonderful thing..
