installed tymar intake!

Well i just got my first mod on this truck completed. It sure feels good to spend money on mods instead of trying to track down noises in my 6.0. Here are some pics of the intake and the truck. I haven't posted any of just the truck up yet. Has 141k on it. Pretty clean for Minnesota.

At least it doesn't have its fair share of dents and scratches like mine
...but they aren't very noticeable so I can't complain lol.


What's next on your mod list?

Exhaust, a tw or php chip probably, gauges. I also need to get a new roll up cover, the one on here is junk.

How does it feel now that you have you intake done?? Im almost ready to do mine

I went with the SCT Multi-Switch tuned by Dan Clarke owner of DDP (dansdieselperformance.com) and I am very happy with it. He can custom tuned it up to 150hp. I bought it all from him and he installed it for $400 ($75 cheaper than some other multi position switched).

Is the sct if tuned by DDP better than ts chip highest setting being 140 I'v heard that the ts chip pretty much just advances the hell out of the timing. But the sct changes progams across the board.

Honestly I can not down talk the TW tunes when it comes to the TS chips because I have never had one. I have read good things about them while I was researching many different chips and tuners. I went with SCT because Dan can custom tune pretty much whatever I want, I can get high idle for winter which TW can do too I have seen, but Dan said he can tune up to 150HP and also do a Lope tune where your truck idles like a tractor (not that I need this one but just something available).

Sorry but you are not gona see 150HP..if he's telling you that then he's lying. You should have done much more reading TW is one of the best tuners out and I've been arround for a long time and I've never heard of your tuner.

TS custom tuned chips don't just jack the timing where do you guys get such lousy info..or with only 8 posts trying to get your bud some work?
