Turbo help

Hello all new to the forum....and backyard upgrades....now im hooked. Did some mods to my stock 7.3 and after each mod turbo surge got louder and easier to obtain(as if its a desireable condition). So to the question what should I do to cure it....ported housing and WW, or whole after market turbo...garret or thrusher. I would like to know what I need to do each as far as o-rings and what not. Another question is the pedistals with or without the EBV. I live in a cold climate will this affect warm up?

Thanks in advance!!

So will just the WW help that much with surge...even pulling a loaded horse trailer? It seems every time I add something the surge gets worse.

The wheel works around 50 too 60% of the time but its a lot cheaper. If you can wait for two weeks I can send you mine. Putting on a new turbo next week.

Why ya ditching the WW? If I do the WW I am gonna do the housing too. That should clean up most surge wouldn't it? I probably need to pull off intake and check the bearings. Anyone know the runout and Thrust tolerances for the wheel? Should I even mic it or just go by feel? Thanks!

Got a new turbo so I don't need the wheel anymore. I would rather give it to someone who needs it than send it in with the old turbo. Don't know the tolerances someone else may. According to ATS the housing works best with the stock wheel.

On E bay a guy is selling a turbo upgrade, it looks like a small valve with fuel hose hook ups. Does anyone know anything about this?

Thanks
