wait till you can spend the $220 and buy the 4" system you'll like the sound better and get more out of it then just deleting the muffler.

There is a place called top it just of I-15 and 5400s they sell hog performance 4" kits for $220. I've never delt with hog performance but I think all kits are pretty much the same as long as it has mandrel bends the only difference you will get is the different sounds from mufflers. I'm going to pick mine up next week and just straight pipe it the whole way so i don't care about the muffler. I had a flow master 4 in kit on my old 01 7.3 and if I was going to keep the muffler on I would definetly get that system again it sounded great.

I wasn't wanting to spend the $$$ on a full kit at the moment so I just went with the Big Truck Muffler and you could tell a difference with just that change. They say you dont need anything more then the stock diameter pipe until you are 400+rwhp. Soooo I'm trying to see what mpg this gained for me until im ready to do a straight pipe 4-5". Funds are tight when you are gonna get a fuel tank in the bed, toolbox, back bumper and tailgate rhinolined, Ranchhand Frontend replacement, oooohhhhh soooo much stuff tooo chaaaannnngggeee!!!

I just ordered a full exhaust system from Hog Performance shipped to my door for $260. I will let you know how that install goes and what performance I see from it.
