Let's discuss the Foil Delete...

From what I have gathered, Ford only put this on our trucks to help keep the sound of the turbo quiet?

So the foil has nothing to do with heat (kinda like header wrap?)

Who here has gotten rid of their foil, and what difference could you tell (if any)

All it does is quiet the noise from the turbo and intercooler pipes. Nothing to do with heat. The only difference is hearing your turbo more.

Thats all. I removed mine and the turbo is a little bit louder. Other than that it just looks cleaner under the hood

were can i find a pic of it? so i know were you do it at. and is that still good to do with the 6637? i have just seen what happens to an engine when you get water in it... also, this may be a dumb question, but i am new to the diesel scene, but i know that doing away with the cat/muffler on a gasser you get a MIL... is that an issue with the diesel?
