Which Banks package?

I have decided to go with a Banks power package. I am aware of other options but, I want to go this route. I have an 2002 F350 7.3 with 6-speed manual. My choices are either the Stinger-plus or the Power pack. The Power pack adds the Techni-Cooler intercooler to the Stinger-plus. I am wondering if anyone can tell me if it's worth the extra $$$ for the Techni-Cooler, and if it adds a NOTICEABLE difference on a 2002 7.3. I am not trying to make a "hot rod", just want more power for pulling my Toyhauler.

Thanks

I think it would be worth it for towing. I think that's if thats what you use it for, then Banks is the best you can get for extra power for towing.

There is a cheaper route, you got get a intercooler out of a 6.0 , they are the same dimension except they are 1/4" thicker. Some people have reported drops in their egt's. If you don't tow that heavy I wouldn't spend the money, it's not going to give hardly any extra power, you'll just maybe be able to keep your foot in it longer up some hills.

Klutch- That's what I am saying. The intercooler isn't really good for extra power, although you would see an increase with the cooler air. It would be good for keeping the engine cooler, egts, intake air, etc.. while towing. And like you said keeping your foot on it longer up the hills is exactly what you want when towing. You don't want to be slowing your rig down up the hill because it gets too high of EGT's, right? That's why I say go with the intercooler.

Thanks for the replies!
Super_Stroke makes a point in saying that the stock intercooler is pretty good. I am just wondering if the Banks one will make that much of a difference over stock. Right now it pulls hills okay but, I'd like more. Maybe a Stinger-plus will give me enough power that I won't have to keep my foot into it and egt's will not be much of an issue. Just a thought.

Its all your choice, but isn't it fun to lay it all down when towing through the hills? Seriously, the stock intercooler is good to a point, but the Banks "charge air cooler" flows alot better, and more air goes through it.

Maybe I'll just get the Power pack system which includes the intercooler. Autoparts warehouse has one for $2483.00. That's the best deal I've seen.

One more question. When you guys do your exhaust, are you eliminating the catalytic converter? I believe my truck has one and the banks kits specify with or without a catalytic converter. Would be nice to eliminate it, if this does not cause any problem with the truck.

Thanks
