Thumbs up defuser-as good as advertised!

Sorry to start a new thread, but I didn't want this burried on page 5 of the last one. I put on the HX crossover line fuel pressure guage and steroidT module this weekend. I did create my own shim to bump the fuel pressure up to 70 psi. This thing works the second you touch the gas, UNREAL. I have a 6 spd so this is excactly what I was looking for, the torque of idle is....dare I say, cummins like. Extremely smooth power, no hits, no chatter from over fuel/timming. Works perfect! If you have a 6 spd, you need this mod, if not get the 18K it will make your truck much more fun to drive.

Bill at dfuser answered his phone this weekend to help me trouble shoot a couple of things, EVEN ON SUNDAY EVENING

Good price and great service, good luck with your business Bill!

This is my understanding of the difference between the 2 (everyone is welcome to chime in and correct anything from this point forward). The 18k and the steroidT have the same characteristics at low RPMS, but the steroidT can make more power at high RPMS.

In short if you have a chip go with the 18K if not get the steroidT.

I had a chip but I got the steroidT because I was thinking of removing it altogether if this worked.

The power is so smooth, no big hits, and you have it right off idle. It has a wire that taps your throttle harness so you can turn the thing up and not get a rough idle.
For more specific information email Bill at sales@dfuser.com or checout the website www.dfuser.com

I installed mine (18K) yesterday on my '05 and it doesn't do anything at all. I JUST sent them an e-mail asking them (BlackCloudDiesel) if they had any ideas. Heck maybe - HOPEFULLY - I got a defective one. I like the gains you 7.3 guys have been seeing and all the positive feedback from those who have 'em so I wanted to try it out. It's got to be something simple because I see no gain at all no matter which way I turn the dial. I'll let y'all know what they say.

Sorry to hear that rodslinger, not being a jerk, but I hope you got something wrong. Having to wait and then not having something work is the worst. Good luck and let us know how it works out.

Oh no man I'm with you. I hope either I have something wrong or the module is just defective too.

I'm pretty patient so it's all good, I don't mind waiting and then it not working...............NOT!!!

Alright - Major kudos to both Garrett at BlackCouldDiesel and Bill at DFUSER on their customer support. Garrett responded to my e-mail lighting fast and asked me to call Bill who was extremely helpful. I'll be sending this unit back to them and he'll be sending me a new one. If there is one thing in this world that either makes me come back, or turns me away from a company and that's how willing they are to work with their customers. These guys were rock solid.
I'll keep y'all updated.

Yes actually I spoke with Bill just yesterday evening and it should be in the mail heading to me today.
I'll let y'all know how it goes. I'll be doing a write up on it from a 6.0 perspective since I couldn't find anyone that had done it. You 7.3 guys who have 'em speak so highly of them hopefully I can pass that same praise on to the 6.0 crowd.
