Which Programmer?

I'm trying to figure out which programmer to get. Most of the time I would just like it for fuel economy improvements, but occasionally I pull a trailer and would like to have the power gains.

Thanks,
Jake

If money is not an issue look into SCT's new touchscreen programmer you can get whatever tunes you want tow, street, extreme, and mileage. But if you're on a budget maybe banks or bullydog, avoid superchips.

There are plenty of options.

Tony wildman (totaldieselperformance.com)
DP tuner
PHP
Swamps
Beans
Matt at gearhead

All very good at what they do.

You are not going to get any fuel economy from DiabloSport..This I can say from personal /present experience.I am currently looking to change mine aswell.

why would you avoid superchips? I ask cause I thought about getting the Cortex, it doesn't VIN locked and could be used again if I ever update trucks

i think every truck is different. before i had a TW 6 chip i borrowed my buddies predator to run up north with the guys for a weekend of dirtbiking and i got a little over 20mpg out of my truck heading up north. i have a TW chip now and they best i've got on the "economy" tune driving like a grandma around town is 13.5 which is not any better than i was getting all stock just my luck i suppose.

as for a programmer or something of the likes, if i were to do it over again i would get a DP tuner over the TW i have now. I'm not really satisfied with the TW as of yet, so i would consider something else next time for my personal use...
