Single or Dual Aftermarket Exhaust
I currently have the Magnaflow turbo back single exhaust on my 7.3. I did remove my muffler for a short time and put the muffler back on. I lost a lot of power without my muffler. I like the looks and sound of duals. Will duals have any impact on power?
Thanks Tony |

Nope, but they sure look cool.

theres is no way you lost power by removing the muffler...gas trucks are effected because they need backpressure...powerstrokes have a turbo therefor we need little backpressure if any at all

Probably just lost some torque...

There is really no gain going to duals at all. The thing I hate about duals is you very seldom see them where they are actually even on both sides when looking at the truck from the back which makes them look dumb. Personally I'd just stick with the signle unless you really like the looks of duals.

You didn't lose anything removing the muffler. I promise you gained.
Dual exits look gay on diesels. Unless they are dual stacks. Dual stack or a BIG *** side exit. |

Next time I will do duals, 6 inch tips out the back.
