ts 6 position
new member to the site, and just installed a ts 6 position on my 2001 with the out of the box tunes. So far have been very happy with the performance. truck pulls like a freight train now, and more low end torque. my fuel milage has gone from 14 to 16-18 now as well in the economy setting. My only question is that there is almost no smoke, just very little when i hit boost. truck has stock exhaust(straight piped) and a stock air box. i am somewhat happy because of the fuel economy, but i heared the ts should smoke more. is there a problem?

the 140 setting feels the same as the 100 setting, thinking i may have a connection issue, but all the other levels work as well as high idle. i figured the truck would be smokey lugging her down in 140, but maybe im wrong?

Check your fuel filter.... have you changed it at all?

Ok, I just want to clarify some things... Now at full boost it should hardly smoke. It should down low, prior to the turbo spool-up. Does it do that? |

The generic TS tunes are nice on the low side. The reason you can't tell the difference between the top two is that you can't supply enough fuel. Mine was exactly the same way. It would however roll coal on demand in the lower RPM range, not so much from anything above 1800 rpm.
That was my personal exp anyway. Hope this helps. |

the truck dosent smoke until you reached boost at about 2000rpm but only if my foots to the floor in the 75 or 100 horse setting. with no boost, the truck dosent smoke like it should
