parallel twin turbo
is it possible to or has anyone seen it done to put a twin turbo kit on a psd in parallel with one turbo on each bank of four cylinders. given the v design of the engine it should be possible to put a turbo manilfold on each bank which opens up the possibility to quad turbo your truck if built strong enough. anyone ever seen this or tried it?

Yes but noone has made it worth wile to do. Not really any point. You get a lot more boost and a lot more air to it with compunds.

Built and running and built and working well is two different things though.

What he said ^^^^. They are just not as efficient as compounds.

Im sure it would work ok but I think that running compound turbos to all 8 cyliders would be just as good if not better. You can push an easy 60-70 lbs of boost with twins and that is more than you need in a 7.3.

Audi does it on the V8 TDI engine, so it is do-able.

paralell turbo
he is using it for sled pulling and it is working very well. I for one would think
that could lead us in a new direction. Ford is even looking at real twins. |
