Programmer issue??????
I have a 2000 F-250 with a Bully dog programmer (6 position), 5 inch exhaust and K&N set-up. The last few times I have driven the truck (all in the last 3 days), if I run 2 through 5 positions on the programmer the truck will barely pull itself. Number 1 position is susposed to be stock (6 is just a high idle). After the truck has been driven for 15 to 20 minutes, it will run fine in the 2 and 3 position (noticable power increase). Until then, only the number 1 position will allow the truck to run more than 20 mph. The 4 and 5 position never did seem to do anything more than 2 or 3 do. Any ideas?

Pull the chip see how the truck runs then reinstal it. Sounds like a bad connection to me

I will try that this weekend.

No change after checking the connection. Am considering replacing the chip.

If you get rid of it get a custom chip

OK, I was considering the Edge Attitude. I dont run the truck hard and really am more interested in fuel economy than anything. The next one is going to be the hot rod.

Edge dosen't tune the tranny , TW tunes will. With fewer downshifts and earlier lock up, you can use all that 7.3 tourque, fewer downshifts, less high RPM, better economy. Best of luck, Jason Last edited by fallendown; 10-17-2009 at 05:43 PM. |

I definitely recommend custom tunes anything off the shell is no match for custom. They will give more mpg and more power
