Leaf spring bushing

Any one ever change out the leaf spring bushings before? I have a 5.5 fabtech lift and for awhile now I've been having a lound clunk coming from the passenger side front. Well finally narrowed it down to bad bushing. Thing is i tried to get the old one out & the new one in. wasn't easy but i got the old one out, now i can get the new one in. any advice. My ball joint press would not do it.
