What to do next..got code for bad inj 99 late
I just got a 1999 F350 knowing it has a code for #7 having a prob...How do i know its the injector..the Snap on scan tool showed either inj, or cly problem,,,the guy I bought it from said it had codes for # 2 and #7 he put a new inj in #2 and the code went away.for #2....new injectors are 385+ tax...can I get a used one to make sure...Any help would be appreciated.

pull the injectors and send them to a shop to get them flow tested

The likelyhood of it being anything else if #7 is comming up on a cyl. cont. test is unlikely. The injectors are the weakest leak as far as that test is concerned so if it's comming up the injector is most likely the problem.
Not sure where you are getting quoted for your injectors but you are going to the wrong place. Give Rick at Seattle Injector a call. I think they are like $215 or $225 or something like that from there for a brand new injector. Or they can rebuild them for you as well. |
