short shift kit

Just got this short shift kit from midwesttrans.com. wicked cheap compared to the bd. $175 it works awesome, has anybody else tried it?

Yes I just installed mine a few weeks ago on my ZF5. Cant beat the improvement. A must have for ZF's IMO.

Will this work on the 6spd too?? How do the shifts feel now? Are the gates still easy to find or does the SS make the gates harder to find?

Yeah you can buy one for the ZF6. I'm looking to buy this for mine. Apparently you can shift faster with it.

I had a buddy with a gen 2 cummins and the shifting was so tight it was VERY easy to completley miss a gear.

How are you guys liking them on fords?

aw hell ya. You can never shift TOO fast! I'm curious to know how it makes the shifts in regards to losing them or hitting the wrong gate though. I'd rather have a VERY accurate, slow ****ing truck than a fast shifting truck that cant find the damn right gate.

This is what I'm worried about. But The shifts ARE longas hell on this thing

I had one on my 7.3. I loved it. It was hard (for me) to hit 4th gear every time though.

Dan is a great guy to deal with (midwest trans.)...

He also built one of the baddest 6.0's in the country. Can't wait to see what he can do with the 6.7L he just pre-ordered.
