Did some mods yesterday!!!!
Got the foil delete done(that glue f'ing sux!!!).Went to do the zoodad mod but I got a surprise......IT HAD ALLREADY BEEN DONE!!! Gonna be doing the tymar on saturday and getting my new John Wood valvebody installed next week.....Slowly but surley its all getting done.I haven't even fired it up after doing the foil delete because I figured it was pointless putting the air box and battery back in just to take it all back off for the tymar. What should be expected when I get finished putting it all back together? Is there really that big of a change in the turbo sound? Will I feel a performance gain with the tymar? At the moment my dp is not hooked up and wont be till after my John Wood gets installed.(my tech needs the dp unhooked to calibrate my speedo for my 37's.Don't ask, we tried doing it with it installed but we couldn't get it to work even with Jody on the phone at the time)So I'm intrested to see if I feel any diffrence with just the tymar, zoodad, and straight pipe exhaust.I hope so,driving the 250 without the dp feels like I'm driving the 650 rollback!!!

what is zoodad and a foil delete?

yes doing the tymar intake and straight pipe and foil delete will be noticeable. I haven't done the straight pipe yet, but I've done the tymar and going from the old k&n which was GREASE CAKED TO DEATH, the throttle response picked up, the turbo whine went WAY up, the foil delete worked, and mileage actually wnet up a few mpg w/ the tymar.
Sounds awesome man. |

my mileage went up with the intake
i'd say the turbo whistles and almost pings. either way, it's WAY more noticeable. i love it haha jdeluca, you can search that stuff to get a better answer. BUT the zoodad is where you open up airflow to the intake tube in front of the battery. that tube picks up air where there is a radiator support. so if you open that up to outside air, colder air, and more of it. foil delete is getting rid of the sound deadening foil on the driver side intercooler tube. just makes the turbo louder. |

You will notice the most out of the tymar... the foil helps a little...

you will notice it a good bit. i have the foil gone, 5 inch straight pipe, and the 6637 filter and the turbo is loud. you can actually hear the filter sucking air. It sound very nice.

we pulled our 8k fifth wheel this summer in the from texas to nm, az, utah, co, and back home. ummm, you might wanna consider building and air box or getting one. i mean seriously. i have strips of the insulation on the hood missing in that area. just the very top layer. then back behind the filter toward the driver i have quite a bit of insulation missing. i musta been really suckin air. so i built kind of an air box. i think it's a good idea. |

I guess the intake and exhaust helped me, I can get 20lbs of boost stock if I really lay into it, and my 6.0 buddy says mine is way faster than his old 99' with my chip on stock!
