Air Dog FASS or other options?????
Im looking into The AIRDOG FASS system with the filter water seperator and lift pump.
Is the system worth the money? Where would be the cheapest place to purchase one? Are the worth Purchasing? What other options do I have ? Is it worth the time to build one? |

Will a fuel system benefit a "stock" truck any?

Did the FASS last summer.
Pump motor failed in under 10 days. Power on the dyno = Zero increase MPG increase = Zero It was also loud as hell. The truck drove 200 miles with no fuel pump at all. (good'ol powerstroke) It didn't drive well, but it got me home. I installed a new stock Ford fuel pump. Truck put down 342/699RW with stock injectors and the new stock pump. I don't see the need for a larger fuel pump unless you have injectors. & Even then...I'd go a different route due to reliability. If I need more fuel......I'm going to install a Kenne Bell Boost-a-Pump for $299. Or even twin stock in-line pumps. It's not that hard to upgrade to AN fittings/lines & make your own pickup if needed. The FASS pickup is nothing special. |

Due to the design of the 7.3L injection system, as long as the fuel bowl stays full of fuel, there is no power or fuel economy gains from a fuel pump upgrade.
