dp tuner for 01 going onto 02 ?

im buying a dp tuner from a guy that had it on his 01 7.3 now i want to put it on my 02 7.3 will it work no problem or will i have problems because the trucks are a year apart.

It should work, they are the exact same truck

i understand they are the same i was more conserned about the pcm and how it would react because i know the computers arent the exact same.

Stephen,

The chip will need to be reburned. ford changed PCM dpc families in 2002. The truck may start, but it will not run properly.

Follow our site instructions on chip reburning for sending it in for a reburn.

awsome i will do that. would i also be able to get a tune swapped ? its got the 120 race tune for one of the 5 tunes but i would like the 140 instead of the 120.
