yes they are the same as far as it being the 7.3. but there has got to be something slightly different. ive heard others who have the 99's that also can hit the 20 mark easy, and then i hear some who have the 02 and early 03s who are in my situation; barely hitting the 15 mark. Ill put it this way, i get 415 miles on a full 32 gallons in my 02. My brother gets 600+ on 32 gallons. the only difference in the trucks as far as mods are edge chip as opposed to banks and AFE as opposed to K&N. He recently put a 4 in. turbo back straight on his but he was hitting those marks before this.

My last tank I was around 536 miles on 30 gallons of diesel.. 130 miles w/ the ac on, 3 adults, a baby and some baby stuff in the bed. I was also getting on it at least once daily because I put my tymar on and like the sound.

Shift before 2k rpms, and just rest your foot on the pedal to get up to speed.

Well i have an auto tranny. it seems like on my truck that the mileage does better if i go on an get up to speed 50-55 mph and then just steady it there. It seems like the slower i gain speed the worse fuel mileage. I dont know. Thanks for your input though.

ok so now ive heard TW or DP chip. Any others? and which one of these would you say is the best overall product?

Thats true for some cars.. they are all a bit different. I know with my honda I got better mileage zipping along up to speed than pussy footing it.

Go with the TW. DP is good. But I'm sold on TW.

The TW will be able to do a lot for your shifting too. Better mileage and better performance to be had w/ the trans tuning

Oh and good catch.. w/ 373s you should be getting better mileage or at least the same as me. I'm pretty sure I have 410's.

But I drive like a grandma (ok I lied.. I love having fun with my truck), and love modding my truck. Besides they get better mileage when chipped.

So really its win-win?

I drive easy right now cus i dont have anything impressive enough to gas on lol. Plus for fuel mileage....Mostly though i just want to have it when i want it and definitley when i need it. Ok yea i was leaning toward the TW just from what i have read. Thanks everyone for your input it helped alot.

Whats weird is I found a guy with SAME EXACT truck as mine but automatic and his is 2000. He gets 14mpg city and 17mpg highway. He also has 410's. Thats so weird how they are so different..
