nice rig, I have the same color scheme on my 02', also have a dp and I like it so far and the 80e gets pretty good milage and still runs good, I also have the 140 agressive for playing around with, I could probably get better milage but the new hasnt worn off yet, only had for 2 weeks

The "extreme" tunes usually net better MPG's if you can keep your foot out of them.

What gears are you running?

EDIT: The K&N might not be the best choice, they have dusted many of powerstrokes.

look into this- DIY Intake

Stay away from K&N! Great for gas, too drity for Diesel.

Is your front bumper mounted farther out? Is that for clearance or the light bar?

If you want some really good MPG talk to Matt @ Gearhead Automotive. Out of the different chips I have ran I got the best fuel millage with his tuning. But tuning isnt everything 90% of it is the driver. and you will still only see 1 or so mpg increase with a chip i don't care whos it is.

I bet he has got 4.56 gears in that puppy... that will kill the mileage...

then the obvious questions are... are you reading the lie-o-meter or checking it by hand? Also is your odometer/speedo correct... that will throw your mileage WAY OFF...

here's a kicker with my 00 7.3 on 37s with 3.73s I get roughly 17 mpg highway...kind of afraid to up to 4.56s when I do my 40's....but I was wondering the same thing, I just bought a bullydog as a starter chip...
