Louder turbo

I have a 1999 7.3 and I cant figure out way the turbo is so quite and I want to know what makes it quite and how to make it loud.

Do you have an intake on it? That will help a bit.

i wonder if my turbo is stock or modded. cant tell. its loud

Straightpipe your truck and put in an intake, it will be plenty loud

Straightpipe helped a lot making mine so you could hear it at certain RPM's. Though the 7.3 straightpiped is really harsh sounding so WOT you can't hear mine until I let off. I recently did the foil delete and that made a BIG diff in turbo noise. LOVE IT!

Yea straighpiping may make it louder but you would actually not be able to hear the turbo as good since the truck gets louder at higher RPM's. But I forgot about the foil delete that would help out a lot also.
