AFE problems!!!

I noticed this weekend that my rubber boot that goes from the intake tube to the mount on the valve cover is cracking all over the place. Anyone else have this problem with a stage 2?

Mine is the same way. I am afraid to touch it until I have a replacement boot in my hand.

Yeah i don't want mine to split. I am going to contact afe over this. This could ruin your engine by allowing it to get dusted.

I just went out and looked at mine, and it is cracked as well. Not all the way through, but lots of cracks.
And after reading a few of the other topics- my rubber boots on the front axle are both broken as well. I guess it is nice to know what to be looking for- thanks for all the info.

Yep, i called AFE and they are sending me a new boot under warranty. That is going to be funny when they get all the inquiries for new boots. I talked to a guy named steven in warranty work at AFE.

I think i would pull that till you get the new piece. Put the stock back on till resolved. You do not want that going thru the turbo. If you get the same part that cracked with no inprovments i would Ebay that SOB.

Nice! I am going to call them as well. I really want this to be fixed. Hopefully the new one holds up better.
