DP tuner questions
Ok so looks like the way to go seems to be DP-Tuners now i have questions about that. This will be on a 1999 F-350 automatic 2wheel drive with around 260,000 miles and everything stock except for a magnaflow muffler coming out dual.
1. Will i have to have gauges? if so can you suggest which ones to get? i dont want to spend much at all on them? 2. What is the best tune for everyday driving to get the best MPG? Best tune for towing which i rarely ever do? also best tune for smoke without hurting engine?? 3. Also what kind of mileage increase will i get driving normally no pushing it? i am open to any and all suggestions as this is my first go round with this kind of stuff. |

I really like my 80E tune for everyday driving. The 140 will give you a lot of smoke, but I wouldn't get it unless you have some supporting mods ie. Bigger exhaust and free flowing intake. For an inexpensive set of gauges, I would look at some autometers, I personally like ISSOPRO's but I don't know what the cheapest set of those go for. As far as milage goes, I think there are to many variables to give you a guess. I get about 16 though on 80E driving easy with my truck though. I would give Clay at Riffraff a call. He seems to have the best prices on alot of things.

If you have an automatic, you'll want a tranny temp gauge. I would get a boost gauge also, need to know what's going on. Jody has some "smoke tunes" I would call Riffraff and ask him, he's a very helpfull person.

X2 on the Isspro gauges from Diesel Manor. The gauges are great and the install instructions are very well written.
