AFE vs K&N
Is there a big differece between the 2? I have the tymar on my obs but my buddy wanted me to help him get an intake. I told him to stay clear of K&N but I pointed him to a nice afe intake. After we installed it I got to looking and it dont see any difference between them. Did I make a mistake about AFE?

AFE is better for that reason exactly.... while companies like AFE, S&B, AIRAID, and as much as it pains me to say...BANKS... spend money on R&D and bettering the flow and better filteration... K&N just spends it on advertising and they get better flow by allowing more air to pass through... which allows dirt to pas through too... so you did ok by sending him to AFE... there are others I would recommend before it, but its still a very good setup
