Any down sides to this?

A fellow .org member loaned me a Bullydog 70hp "mileage" chip untill i get custom tunes. Im wondering if there are any bad side effects that could be caused by this chip?
Bad timing? (Heard BD was notorious for it?)
Bad on the tranny
etc...?

This isnt a bullydog rocks thread so dont give me your ignorant remarks about how i need to run custom tunes. I know i do and i'm going to when i can afford it

Just wondering if theres any underlying problems with BD?

I really don't think so. You should be OK as long as you're not upgrading injectors, turbo, etc, until you get your custom tunes. Not trying to put in an ignorant remark, man. Just saying the BD won't give you the timing you need.

This isn't PSN.

You won't have any issues with it that I know of. Just don't expect all that much.

It's a milleage chip I can't imagine there is that much power to damage anything. Look on their website and see what it says.

Well, I'm gonna give it anyway................it's not the best on the tranny or timing, but for a short time you should be OK.

id say get a dp tuner when you get one you wont be upset!

I do not like the trans controls on the whimpering puppy tunes. Reminds me too much of the edge.

I had the 6 pos from Bully Dog and it did just fine for 75 bucks. Watch you egts though mine rose pretty quick with bd tuning.....Chad
