What's the best exhaust

I have a stock 02 4x4 CC w/6637

I am working my way towards guages and a custom tune.

What is a good turbo back exhaust system to get? I use my truck mainly for towing a 10K+ trailer. The main purpose is performance and sound or looks.

I've been hereing something about a bigger elbow at the turbo but you need to smash the firewall in a little to make it fit. Has anybody heard of this and is it worth it?

PS I did do a search and couldn't find my answers.

I'm running the MBRP Turbo Back on my 02 7.3L. Love the sound, love the look. Its the 5". It is just their standard 5"TB Exhaust system. The down pipe is not 5" and no firewall beating was necessary.

I'd guess if its a straight pipe exhaust of a certain size, they all sound pretty close.

i found 4inch striaght exhaust doesnt have the crackle that the stock straight piped does

I have a 4" Turbo Back Motoblue system on my 03. The downpipe is 4" and I didn't have bash the cab at all. It had a big, beefy, muffler on it that didn't sound bad. After seeing all these guys say straight pipe it, I tried it. I haven't put the muffler back on. I love the sound of my 4", turbo back, straight piped 7.3l.
