Want to order a boost leak detector.

According to all the searches I've done and all the threads I've read it looks like I'm dealing with a leak somewhere. At WOT all I can muster is a measly 8psi of boost. I checked all the clamps and the boots and everything seems fine. I don't know about my up pipes yet but I would like to have the necessary tool to make finding the leak easier. Can anyone tell me what the outside diameter of the turbo inlet is 4" or 3"??? I've read a few threads of people getting the 4" and hooking it up to the intake tube but according to dieselsite its supposed to hook directly to the turbo. I just want to do it right thats all.

Thanks

Yup. You want the 4". The p/n you're looking for is: DSBLC4 for the DieselSite BLD.

Just got a call from Bob at Diesel Site and he said I needed the 3" and not the 4" because I have an early 99.

Ah! In all due respect, create a signature with your rig's year/make/model & whatever mods you have done to it & sometimes it's easier for people to give you advice. That's cool you know what you need now. Good luck on finding your leak & let us know how you make out!

I have a pretty good feeling it's your uppipes. I hate them, going through the same problem with my truck and waiting on DI to send me mine. From what I have heard they are real nice and fix the problem forever.

I think it is to. Cranked it up the other day and shoved my hand up there and could feel them leaking. Plus there is soot on my firewall. Me and a buddy are gonna knock out the up pipes on saturday. Now if I could just find a place that has these gaskets everyone is talking about I'll be good to go.

Gaskets? Go to napa and get some for the 350 sb chevy. They are a little bigger but you can make them crush so I have heard. I gave up half way through and ordered some up pipes
