Which motor oil?

I have a 2005 F-250 with 75000 miles on it. I also have an SCT tuner and I run Royal Purple in mine. I change my oil every 7,000 miles. The place where I have my oil changed gives you a free oil change on your 10 oil change.

I don't know if you have decided on oil yet but I just picked up a case of Delo 15/40 at Costco. There are 6 in a case and it came out to $8.32 a gallon. Pretty good price this day and age. Most of the auto parts sell them for $12.89 to $15.01 a gallon.

Question 15W40 Synthetic?

Hey,

Since its almost 80 degrees out during the day right now, I am interested in knowing what you folks would recommend for a 7.3 that has Rotella 5W40 Synthetic in it now. I NEED this oil during winter up here, and I am not really interested in switching from synthetic back to normal back to synthetic ad infinitum. That said am I ok running my 5W40 synthetic rotella year round or should I try to find a 15W40 synthetic for summer, and if so what one have folks here found that is diesel rated?

By the way, a RECORD high around here would be around 90°F

Thanks
