Newbie here. 1st post
Hello all. I just bought my first PowerStroke, an 01' F-250 crewcab. The truck isn't running right now and is currently in the shop getting a new starter and possibly a new flywheel.
I wanted to get a general idea about the powerstrokes from 99-03, concerning things like reliability, what to watch for, and also what is required in the way of normal or scheduled repairs and service. Once I figure out a few things like what kind of oil I'm going to use for a 198,000 mile truck, and a few other basic things, I am going to start with a few mods and wanted some pointers there too. Tell me if I'm on the right track in considering a BullyDog programmer, an exhaust, and a cold air intake??? The truck looks like it has an aftermarket exhaust right now, and I'll find out exactly what exhaust is there. Thanks for the post!!! |
