turbo noise i think?

I have a 2000 f-350 7.3 powerstroke w/ 6speed manual trns, 4" drop pipe and exaust,and super chip programer. When i get up in the higher rpm range and turbo is building boost i get almost like a air horn noise from up in the engine compartment. it will not do it in nuetral . What could be causing this? Please help.

Is this something that just started? I agree that it sounds like it is tubo related. I would check all the pipes and make sure there isn.t a split or something that has worked loose etc.......... Anyway here is a

Air horn noise? That's odd. Check your intercooler boots and make sure they are all intact.
