Starter Solenoid

hey guys, i cracke dmy starter solenoid but my starter is still good...i can't seem to find a solenoid only at any auto stores...and ford dealership parts department is closed right today...so i wonder if ford would sell the solenoid only and what the price might be?

all the stores wanna sell me the whole starter and it's like $175 plus the core...i don't wanna give them the starter cuz it's perfectly fine...any ideas?

The only way to replace the soleniod is to replace the starter. It is attached as one piece and sold as one piece.

Look in your phone book for a company local that rebuilders alternators and starters. They can replace just the solenoid. But to be honest with you I would replace the entire starter.
