tourque converter? which to go with??
so im on a budget as is. my 4r100 is in the process of being rebuilt now. the truck has a dp tuner intake exhaust and upgraded wastegate. as is the converter locks up the second it its 2nd gear. the place building it called and gave me the option of a 2 disk bilet converter ( which is what ive had in it and held up fine, blew out firt primary clutch) or do i spend the extra 300 for the tripple disk bilet converter. thanks for any inputs

Personally I would spend the 300$ extra. It would stink to have to pull the trans out to replace the 2 disk one.

Depends on who is making the TC's. I'd get a 6.0 TC thats made to fit the 7.3

how much are you looking to spend? I can get ATS and Suncoast TC's and they are top notch... I would recommend the ATS, because of customer service, warranty and reliability, but they arent cheap

i like my suncoast triple disk locks pretty hard feels like an extra gear its aroun 1300 bucks though but when it comes to tourque converters you get what you pay for imo
